Cultural Arts Programs

We will add more events to this page.  Check back often to see what is new!

We have provided a sampling of the cultural arts programs our students will experience this year.  Without your support through memberships, events, and volunteering, these programs would not be possible.  Thank you for your support throughout the year!!!  These programs are sponsored by the support of the NES PTA and others where noted.

NOTE: All dates are subject to change.

Cello Fury/A Cello Rock Powerhouse, Grades K-5, October 7, 2016

Cello Fury’s Musical Odyssey

Three classically trained cellists and a rock drummer perform high-energy, original music along with classical pieces and cover songs, allowing audiences to connect the dots between musical genres and relate to their own musical experiences. Audiences identify tone colors produced by cello and drums and explore the idea of genre by comparing and contrasting classical and rock music, the relationship between percussion and strings, the interplay of rhythms, and technology involved in producing a live show.  http://www.goartivate.org/product/cello-fury/
