I have created this topic to provide a place for non-members to provide constructive feedback. If you are a member, please post a comment under a different topic area or create a new topic.
I don't know how to include a new topic- for members. Is this because I haven't been approved yet?
either way, GREAT JOB on the site!
Laura Sullivan wrote:Love the new website, it so easy to use & has great informations. It seems a bit jumpy, it billed me twice for my new membership. Also, I wish the dates could include the school dates, like Back to School Nights & Day's off. Maybe on a separate calendar. And I wish the Calendar worked with i-cal or other calendar's so you could click & make a entry in your desk-top calendar. Oh, just noticed it doesn't work with spell-check. Interesting. Thanks!
Hi Laura -
Thank you for the feedback. I have emailed you offline regarding the membership payment. '
We are working on incorporating some of the school dates onto our calendar or to provide a link to the County calendar. Since we do not control the school calendar, we are cautious to include some of those dates on our calendar since we do not have someone to monitor changes to the County calendar. We are concerned that if dates/times change for School (non-PTA) events/dates, and we aren't tracking them closely, that those trusting our calendar to be up to date might be caught off guard. Since this has been a popoluar topic prior to website launch, I'll bring it back up with the Exec Committee to see if there are at least some of the more important dates we want to upload.
Regarding the ability to download events into your calendar, when you view the details of a particular event, there is a link on the top right of the event to download the event as a .ics file which you can save in your calendar. I will look into seeing if there is a way to download as iCal or to download all events with one click rather than having to pull up the details of each event.
Thanks for the feedback. Please let me know if you have any other questions or thoughts.
